The AHM Story Begins

American Hat Makers has been proudly handcrafting hats in the U.S.A. for over 40 years. Our founder, Gary Watrous, started selling handmade leather goods out of the back of his Chevy station wagon in the 70’s and today we have become a large hat business with a global presence.

Our most modest Voodoo Hatter top hat. With a 4½” tall crown and simple Buffalo nickel style band, the El Dorado leather top hat can easily be dressed up or down. The luster of it’s full-grain, smooth leather is complemented by a shapeable wire brim for a personalized attitude adjustment.

EL DORADO TOP HAT, EYE BAND
